About the Summit

The College Completion Summit is an invitation-only event that will bring together presidents and senior leaders from public universities that have significantly advanced their college completion rates. Attendees will have the opportunity to network, share best practices and develop actionable strategies for increasing college completion. The University of Utah

Located in Salt Lake City, the University of Utah is the state’s flagship research public institution. The U enrolls 33,000 students from more than 102 countries and is recognized for pioneering new programs with social impact; generating path-breaking discoveries; fueling critical research; and inspiring innovative approaches to education.

Over the past eight years, the U has increased its college completion rate by 15 percentage points and seeks to foster a national dialogue around best practices for helping students reach the degree finish line.

  • What are the dates of the summit?

    The summit will be held on Monday, Sept. 30 and Tuesday, Oct. 1. Attendees should plan to arrive on Sunday, Sept. 29 and depart in the afternoon/evening of Tuesday, Oct. 1.

  • What is the conference attire?

    Business or business casual attire. Weather in Salt Lake City in the fall ranges from 50 degrees to 75 degrees.

  • Are there sponsorship opportunities available?

    Sponsorship is by invitation only. Please email the summit organizers for more information.

  • Who is attending the conference?

    The conference is invitation only. Attendees include university presidents and senior leaders from public universities that have significantly advanced their college completion rates.

  • Is there a registration fee?

    Thanks to the generous support from Lumina Foundation, there is not a registration fee and one to two students from a university may attend with air travel and hotel provided.

  • How do I make changes to my registration?

    Please email the summit organizers.

  • What if I need to cancel my registration?

    Please email the summit organizers.

  • Why have I not yet received a registration confirmation?

    All confirmations are sent via email at the conclusion of your registration. If you have not received an email confirmation, please check your spam or junk mail folder. If you still need a copy of your confirmation or receipt, please email the summit organizers.

Travel
  • What airport do I fly into?

    Air travel should be booked into the Salt Lake City International Airport (SLC). The airport is approximately 20 minutes from the University of Utah campus.

  • What is the address of the summit?

    The summit will take place at the University of Utah. The locations of the summit will be finalized shortly. Please check the agenda for more information.

  • Will transportation be provided from the airport to the hotel?

    Attendees are responsible for their own transportation to/from the airport to the hotel.

  • Will transportation be provided from the hotel to the summit?

    Shuttles will be provided from the University Guest House and the Marriott University Park hotels to the summit.
